Ascendo introduces DSP4-6602 cinema DSP amplifier
The four-channel amplifier is aimed at residential cinema systems that need high-current low-frequency drive with installation control. Ascendo is positioning it for integrators working with larger subwoofer and infrasonic speaker layouts.

Ascendo Immersive Audio has introduced the DSP4-6602, a four-channel DSP amplifier for demanding residential cinema installations. The amplifier is intended for low-frequency duty in systems using large Ascendo subwoofer and infrasonic speaker arrays.
The German company is targeting a familiar installation problem: delivering high output in rooms where amplifier noise, standby behaviour, trigger logic and system management still matter. The DSP4-6602 combines high-current amplification with onboard processing and control functions intended for rack-based cinema systems.
Integration features include selectable 12V trigger input logic, trigger output, configurable auto-standby and Ethernet-based multi-amplifier control or management. audioXpress also reports that Dante network audio functionality is available on Dante-enabled DSP4-6602 models.
