Acoustic Energy has announced a redesigned generation of its 500 Series loudspeakers. The range uses a new 29mm soft-dome tweeter and is scheduled to become available through authorised Acoustic Energy retailers worldwide in December 2026.
The four-model line-up includes the AE500² standmount loudspeaker, with an announced UK suggested retail price of £1,200. The AE509² and AE520² floorstanding loudspeakers are priced at £2,700 and £4,000 respectively. The AE507² LCR/wall-mount loudspeaker completes the range at £650 each.
The redesign applies engineering developed through Corinium, Acoustic Energy’s flagship loudspeaker, across the drive units, crossover networks and cabinet construction. The bass/midrange driver has a shallower carbon-fibre cone profile and a redesigned motor system. In developing the crossover networks, Acoustic Energy has targeted low group delay alongside frequency response, with the aim of improving phase integration between the drive units.
The cabinets retain Acoustic Energy’s Resonance Suppression Composite construction and adopt a tapered profile. Finish options are Piano Gloss White, Piano Gloss Black and American Walnut wood veneer.
