Nordost introduces Norse 3 cables for November arrival

Nordost has announced a new generation of its Norse cables. The Nordost Norse 3 series comprises the Heimdall 3, Frey 3 and Tyr 3 ranges, with power cords introducing AC-Optimized Shielding. The series is scheduled to arrive at Nordost retailers worldwide in November.

Each of the three ranges includes power cords, analog interconnects and loudspeaker cables. Nordost developed the series as a coordinated set of system connections, treating the audio system as an interconnected whole rather than designing each cable as an isolated component.

The power cords combine Nordost's Mono-Filament technology with solid-core, silver-plated OFC conductors. Their construction also incorporates mechanically tuned conductor lengths, with the design addressing both electrical and mechanical influences on the power connection.

The analog interconnects use multiple conductors arranged in a twisted-pair design, together with Dual Mono-Filament technology. Dual shielding is intended to protect analog signals from noise and interference. The interconnects also follow Nordost's filter-less design approach.

The loudspeaker cables use flat geometry, Micro Mono-Filament technology and FEP insulation, along with mechanically tuned lengths. Their construction incorporates ultrasonic welding and static-dissipating ESD materials. The cables are fitted with purpose-built gold-plated beryllium copper connectors.
