Gold Note has introduced the DS-5.2, a compact streaming DAC for its Series 5.2 range. The unit is designed as a digital source for two-channel systems, with network playback, digital conversion and system-control functions built into one chassis.
The DS-5.2 sits in the brand’s digital-source line rather than as a standalone streamer only. Its role is broader than transport duties, as the product can act as a DAC and a line-level control point in a reduced-box system.
Gold Note also positions the DS-5.2 within its wider component ecosystem. The unit can be partnered with the optional PSX-5.2 external power supply, giving owners a defined upgrade route inside the same Series 5.2 platform.
