fonolab to debut SVPER QVATTVOR Quinquennial in Warsaw

The SVPER QVATTVOR Quinquennial marks five years of fonolab’s QVATTVOR platform, with production limited to five units worldwide. The anniversary edition draws on the company’s work in balanced analogue systems, step-up transformers and precision tonearm technology.

fonolab will present a limited-edition balanced transformer platform at Audio Video Show Warsaw. The SVPER QVATTVOR Quinquennial combines three dedicated signal paths for MC stereo, MC mono and MM cartridges. Its MSRP is €6,850 excluding VAT.

The MC Stereo section supports high- and low-output moving-coil cartridges, with its step-up transformers connected directly to the XLR inputs. A demagnetisation function serves both the transformers and the connected cartridge. The platform provides balanced and unbalanced outputs.

The MC Mono section accommodates In-Phase and Anti-Phase mono cartridge designs and has a rear-panel polarity switch for signal summing. It also provides separate settings for high- and low-output mono MC cartridges. The MM/MI section features switchable equalisation and converts the cartridge signal into balanced format.

The MC sections provide step-up ratios of 1:33 and 1:10, with input impedance specified as 0–5 / 40 ohms and output impedance of 4k ohms. Their frequency response extends from 10Hz to 120kHz, with a tolerance of +0.5dB / -1.0dB. The MM section has a 1:2 step-up ratio, equivalent to +6dB, and a frequency response of 5Hz–100kHz within ±0.5dB.

The unit measures 386 × 295 × 95mm and is offered with silver or black anodised front panels. The Warsaw presentation will take place in Room 408 of the Radisson Blu Sobieski. The show runs from 23 to 25 October 2026.
