Acoustic3D adds DaS loudspeaker prototypes for licensing

Acoustic3D Holdings Ltd has developed two improved prototype loudspeakers using its DaS loudspeaker array technology. The Sydney-based company is using the prototypes to demonstrate the platform to prospective licensing, manufacturing and strategic technology partners.

DaS is a loudspeaker array architecture intended to manage how sound energy is launched from a speaker and distributed into a room. The current prototypes are described as improved development units, with work focused on reliability, repeatability, measurement consistency and demonstration readiness.

The platform is being positioned for future loudspeaker systems in which acoustic output, driver behaviour, time alignment, DSP control, room interaction and spatial performance are treated as an integrated architecture. Potential applications include hi-fi and premium consumer home loudspeakers, active systems, studio monitors and professional DSP-controlled loudspeaker platforms.

Acoustic3D is seeking engagement with loudspeaker manufacturers, DSP platform providers, acoustic technology companies, manufacturing partners and potential licensees. Supporting measurement material can be made available to selected technical partners under confidentiality arrangements, and structured demonstrations are being prepared for selected industry participants.
