MOON adds 491 and 461 separates to Compass Collection
The new models give the range a separate source-control component and matching power amplifier. The pairing moves the Compass Collection beyond the earlier integrated 371 for systems built around dedicated streaming, preamplifier and amplification roles.

MOON by Simaudio has added the 491 Network Player / Preamplifier and 461 Power Amplifier to its Compass Collection. The launch extends the series with a dedicated source-control unit and a separate power amplifier for systems built around matching components.
The 491 is positioned as the system hub in the pairing. It combines network playback, preamplifier, DAC, phono-stage and headphone-output functions in one chassis, with control from the front panel, app or supplied remote.
The 461 is the dedicated power amplifier in the new Compass pairing. MOON lists it as the most powerful amplifier in the collection, with stereo, bridged mono and bi-amping mono modes selectable from a rear-panel switch.

Renaissance Audio lists UK pricing at £5,950 for the 491 and £4,550 for the 461. The UK and Ireland distributor lists both models as available to pre-order.
