Marantz launches MODEL 70 amp with CD 70 player

Marantz has introduced the MODEL 70 integrated amplifier and CD 70 CD player as new entry-level hi-fi components. MODEL 70 is a 2-channel integrated amplifier priced at €850 and £749. CD 70 is a CD player with DAC and USB playback, priced at $750, €600 and £499.

MODEL 70 uses current-feedback Class A/B amplification and Marantz HDAM-SA3 circuitry. It is rated at 50 W into 8 ohms and 65 W into 4 ohms. Its total harmonic distortion specification is 0.08%.

The amplifier includes HDMI ARC, an MM phono input, Bluetooth receive and transmit operation, preamplifier outputs and a subwoofer output. Its Bluetooth codec support covers aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, AAC and SBC. The chassis measures 442 × 375 × 109 mm and weighs 7.9 kg.

CD 70 uses Marantz HDAM-SA2 circuitry and a double-layered chassis base. Its frequency response is specified at 2 Hz to 20 kHz, with a 110 dB signal-to-noise ratio and 0.0016% total harmonic distortion. Front USB-A playback supports FLAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC and DSD files, and digital output is available over optical and coaxial connections.

The two components are positioned as the next evolution of Marantz’s entry-level hi-fi offering. Together they form an amplifier and disc-player pairing within the brand’s hi-fi range. CD 70 availability begins on 15 August 2026.
