Jones and Cerreta introduced its Troubadour loudspeaker to the UK at Spiritland in London on 8 October 2026. The Jones and Cerreta Troubadour is a floorstanding model built around a 12-inch field-coil concentric midrange/tweeter driver.
A separate 12-inch bass driver handles the low frequencies. The concentric arrangement places the midrange and tweeter on the same axis. In the field-coil system, an externally powered electromagnet takes the place of a permanent magnet. The loudspeaker has a sensitivity of 95dB.
The Troubadour's development grew out of discussions about combining the qualities of older loudspeakers driven by single-ended triode amplifiers with the requirements of a modern speaker. The resulting model is compatible with SET amplifiers delivering 8W.
Jones and Cerreta is based in Los Angeles and was co-founded by loudspeaker designer Andrew Jones and brothers Jamie and Bill Cerreta. Jones previously worked at KEF, Pioneer, ELAC and MoFi Electronics. The venture marks the first time his name has been attached directly to a brand he has co-founded.
