Wharfedale launches Denton 1S standmount loudspeaker
The compact Heritage model brings Denton styling into a smaller standmount format. Its placement-focused design gives dealers and buyers another option for rooms where free-space positioning is not always practical.

Wharfedale has launched the Denton 1S, a compact Heritage-series standmount loudspeaker with a new cabinet and driver arrangement. The model sits in the Denton family and is aimed at listeners who want a small-format loudspeaker with flexible room placement.
The design includes a rear-panel Brilliance EQ switch for adapting tonal balance to free-space, shelf or near-wall use. Wharfedale also lists standmount use and a rear mounting point for wall installation, giving the speaker a role beyond conventional hi-fi stand placement.
The cabinet uses fibreboard panels of differing thicknesses, bonded and braced to help control resonance modes. Official product metadata lists Black, Blue and White variants.
