FreePlay is Andover Audio’s first portable Bluetooth speaker and its first portable stereo hi-fi model. The $429 speaker uses a front-firing stereo driver array, Bluetooth LE 6.0 and an IP67-rated enclosure. It is now shipping through Andover Audio’s website in Ivory, Olive and Slate finishes.

Andover Audio announced FreePlay in Boston on 7 July 2026 as its first portable stereo hi-fi speaker. The $429 model is a Bluetooth portable speaker with an IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating. It is now shipping through Andover Audio’s website.
FreePlay uses a true front-firing stereo array with a rear passive radiator. Its driver complement comprises two 5.25-inch aluminum-cone woofers and two 25mm dome tweeters. A 160mm rear-mounted passive radiator supports a stated frequency response of 55Hz to 20kHz.
Wireless playback is handled by Bluetooth LE 6.0, with LC3, AAC and SBC codec support. The speaker also includes a 3.5mm auxiliary analog line input and a 3.5mm microphone input. Up to 99 FreePlay units can be linked wirelessly.
The enclosure measures 10 inches by 13 inches by 6.5 inches and weighs 9 pounds. FreePlay is offered in Ivory, Olive and Slate finishes. The model extends Andover Audio’s home-audio design language into a portable outdoor speaker category.
